The Holy image of Our Mother of Deliverance originated in Paris, France and came to the Philippines in 1985. It was hand-carried by Sr.Angela Batac
Alutaya who is serving in Rome since 1982 as a religious missionary. She has two sisters: Sr. Carmela and Sr. Mary Grace
also serving in Rome. The Holy Image was brought direct to Surigao City as a gift to their family. In 1997, Sr.Grace visited the St. Cyrilus Mission House in Manila and asked
for help to propagate the image of Our Mother of Deliverance. Sr. Carmela coordinated also in sending
us information materials pertaining the Mother of Deliverance. By God’s grave, documents were
amazingly approved by S.E.C. Reg. No. A19918388
/A19918390. since then the mission spreads so rapidly. Its acceptability is amazingly awesome
that everyone could say: this is a millennium gift to the Philippines.
The image is now enshrined at the St. Cyrilus Mission House – The Center of
Our Mother of Deliverance Missionaries, Inc. Anyone who wishes to join the mission may contact the Missionary Sisters of Our
Mother of Deliverance, Inc. with Sr. Mary Grace Alutaya as Mother Superior. The Congregation also
had its Tertiary Brothers and Sisters under Sr. Rebecca as the Mother Prioress. The Youth Groups called themselves Junior
Deliverance Missionaries, headed by Br. Roderick Astorga.
